Some of these fare transfers are complicated, and are still undergoing fine tuning during this website\'s beta phase. </li><li>Length includes walking and transfer wait time from start to end.</li><li>Fastest trip is based on the earliest arrival time, not the least amount of time on board the vehicles.</li><li>Walking time between any two points is based on a default medium walking speed (this can be changed to a slower or faster speed under Additional Options).</li><li>Why isn\'t the first trip shown in the Summaries always highlighted initially? Because the trip planner returns at least one trip that is immediately before your specified preference time, in case you decide to leave earlier than originally planned, for Leave at. Clicking on the plus (+) or minus (-) buttons or dragging the slider bar on the scale will allow you to zoom in and out for more detailed information or to see a wider view. The scroll key on your mouse can also be used on the map for zooming in and out. You can define your zoom area by selecting the &quot;Magnifying glass&quot; icon on the lower left side of the map by clicking on it, and then dragging a rectangle over the map while holding down the mouse cursor to set the zoom in area.</li><li><b>Pan Tool</b> - You can also shift the map using the pan tool by simply clicking and dragging the map with your mouse. When you click on the map, you should see a &ldquo;hand&rdquo; image in place of your cursor. If you see a &ldquo;cross&rdquo; symbol instead, this means you have the zoom tool activated. Click on the Zoom icon (&ldquo;Magnifying glass&rdquo;) on the left to deactivate the zoom tool. The directional arrows on top of the slider bar can also be clicked to move the map in each direction.</li><li><b>Inset Map</b> - The inset map appears on the lower right corner of the map. It will display a smaller map showing the location of the zoomed-in area relative to the entire Bay Area. You can minimize or maximize the inset map by clicking the arrow in the lower right corner of the inset map. To view a rail line on the map, click on the check box to the left of the rail line name.
